NPP Appoints Afenyo-Markin as Minority Leader in Ghana’s 9th Parliament

The National Council of the NPP has confirmed Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin as the Minority Leader for the 9th Parliament, with a new team of leadership to guide the party’s legislative strategy. The announcement was made public by broadcaster Richard Dela Sky on January 2, 2024.

The National Council of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially announced its parliamentary leadership for the 9th Parliament, appointing Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, Member of Parliament for Effutu, as the Minority Leader. This appointment underscores his legislative expertise and leadership capabilities.

Patricia Appiagyei, Member of Parliament for Suame, has been named Deputy Minority Leader, marking her as a key figure in the party’s parliamentary strategy.

Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri, assumes the role of Chief Whip. His responsibilities will include managing the party’s parliamentary agenda and ensuring discipline among members.
